| 1...2....3... Paddle! |
First of all, I would like to apologize as I have neglected my blog for quite some time. It's been crazy with work and all, but anyways! As I have mentioned! It's that most wonderful time of the year again! It's Dragon boat training season again for IMBA students. During this period, a select (just want to make it sound cool but actually we're all volunteers!) number of people would be undergoing a grueling 5 month training program to prepare themselves for the upcoming Dragon boat festival on the 2nd of June at ANPING river Tainan City, Taiwan.

WHAT IS DRAGON BOAT ANYWAYS?
According to Wikipedia, Dragon boat (Traditional Chinese: 龍舟) is a human-powered watercraft. They were traditionally made in the Pearl River Delta region of China's southern Guangdong Province out of teak wood (mostly imported from Pontianak, Indonesia) to various designs and sizes. In other parts of China different woods are used to build these traditional watercrafts. It is one of a family of Traditional Paddled Long Boats found throughout Asia,Africa, and the Pacific Islands. Currently, boats are being made, for competitive purposes, out of carbon fiber and other light materials.

| Gearing up for the race... This time, we'll win it! |
We are hoping to bag at least second place this year (as we can never beat the, all buffed, over-powered Filipino Workers team, no offense but your team is one tough cookie). I feel that joining the dragon boat team taught me both discipline and the will of not giving up! Some say that, "what's hard about paddling a boat?". But I tell you, when you're on the boat and everyone's relying on your will to keep on paddling, you'll know what's hard about paddling for a Dragon boat team. It's a life changing experience! The thrill, the anxious feeling of waiting for the gunfire to start the race, and the excitement of reaching the finish line with all your might.
So how about you? What is your profession?
Hebrews 13:21
Equip you with everything good that you may do His will, working in us that which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen
